The Paramus LEAD carnival is back. Supported by the Paramus Police Department, the annual event at the Westfield Garden State Plaza is set to open on Thursday, May 25. A ferris wheel, fun house, and food trucks are just some of the attractions set to make their grand return. Rideshare Driver, 47, Killed In Crash Near Dulles Airport
A 47-year-old Silver Spring man died when the minivan he was operating as a rideshare vehicle struck a deer in Dulles Airport Wednesday, May 17, authorities said. Solomon Birhanie Sibhatu was heading west in a Toyota minivan along Dulles Airport Access Highway a mile west of I-495, when his vehicle collided with a deer around 8:30 p.m., the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police said. Missing Student's Car Found At National Park, Massive Search Launched
The vehicle belonging to 21-year-old Mateo Luis Cobo Zevallos was found in a parking lot at Shenandoah National Park on Tuesday, May 16, officials confirmed. The George Mason University honors student was reported missing on Monday, May 15, according to Fairfax County and Virginia State Police. Speeder, speeder, more than 1,000 ticket receivers. Fairfax County police have shared the results of their "50 Means 50" campaign. The campaign, designed to slow down speeding drivers, reduce crashes, change driving behavior and increase overall safety on the Fairfax County Parkway, ran from May 8 to May 12. Overall, more than 1,000 tickets and warnings were issued to reckless drivers, speeders, and those who had hands-free and licensing violations.
