Angry Motorcyclist Getting Towed Fires Shots After Arguing With Tow Truck Driver: PWC Police A motorcyclist desperate to stop his bike from getting towed fired a round of shots into the air, scaring off the tow truck driver in Prince William County, authorities said. The tow truck driver was lawfully towing Morgan R. Ricciardi's bike at a home on Dunigan Court in Catharpin around 4:45 p.m. Thursday, April 20, when 26-year-old Ricciardi became irate, county police said. Driver Bites Officer In Otherwise Routine Traffic Stop In Northern VA: Police What would've been a routine traffic stop became a painful one for one Prince William County police officer who was bitten by an uncooperative driver. Krisi DeGregori Of Northern VA Dies, 46 Kristina DeGregori, of northern Virginia, died on April 21, 2023. She was 46 years old. Affectionately known as Krisi, she was preceded in death by her fiance, Alejandro Grenado. According to her obituary, Krisi graduated from the University of Alabama, Birmingham in 2001, after graduating from Chelsea High School in 1996. Krisi's Facebook page shows she lived in Alexandria. Here's How $161M GW Parkway Project Will Impact Traffic In DC Area A $161 million construction project along the George Washington Parkway is under way, which means delays are to be expected in the DC area. The National Park Service announced a new traffic pattern that went into effect Saturday, April 22. It will last until 2025, when the project is expected to conclude. Car Thief With Bullets Found In Meadowlands Motel: PD A woman driving a car stolen out of Newark was found with several handgun bullets inside of a Secaucus motel Monday morning, April 24, authorities said. A Secaucus officer was patrolling near the Red Roof Inn on the Meadowlands Parkway around 7:35 a.m., when he "randomly" accessed the registration of an unoccupied Kia Forte that was parked, but running in the parking lot, Police Chief Dennis Miller said. NASA Rocket Launch Will Be Visible In Virginia A small rocket expected to lift off form the NASA Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia will be visible across the East Coast Tuesday, April 25. The Terrier-Improved Malemute sounding rocket carrying the SubTEC-9 is set to launch between 7:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 25. See map above for where and how long the rocket will be visible. The mission is to test new technology projects being developed by the NASA Sounding Rockets Program Office. The launch was initially set for Monday, April 24, but was scrubbed due to issues with payload instrumentation.

Man Wanted For Running Woman Over In Northern VA A 50-year-old man is wanted for running a woman over with his car during an argument in Prince William County, authorities said. Eric Sowers was arguing with the 30-year-old woman in his car on Potomac Mills Road in Woodbridge around 11 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, Prince William County police said. Boy, 5, Shot On Front Porch Of Philadelphia Home A 5-year-old boy who was shot standing on a front porch in Philadelphia was hospitalized Monday, April 25, authorities said. A gunman fired out of a vehicle from the highway, hitting the boy around 9:20 a.m., at a home on the 200 block of West Fisher Avenue, city police said. The boy was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital where he was stabilized. No arrests have been made.
