Building Under Renovation Collapses In DC A building under renovation collapsed Tuesday, April 11 in Northwest DC. The 2-story structure on the 4000 Block of Chesapeake Street NW partially came down in the morning, causing a massive dust cloud in the area, a witness tells NBC Washington. Wildfire Spreads To 3,800 Acres In Ocean County UPDATED: Residents in Ocean County were allowed to return to their homes after a wildfire was 60 percent contained Wednesday, April 12. The New Jersey Forest Fire Service made substantial progress in Manchester Township fighting the fire that destroyed 3,859 acres. The Jimmy’s Waterhole Fire had only been 10 percent contained as of 1:30 a.m., and 75 structures were threatened. That number dropped to 20 structures by noon Wednesday. Bartender Left Paralyzed In Break-In Shooting At PA Home One minute, Dom Travis-Bey was getting ready to call it a night in his Upper Darby home. Man Fatally Runs Over Passenger, Hits Police Chief With Car In Violent Chester County Pursuit A 57-year-old man threw his passenger from his car and fatally ran her over, then struck a police officer with his vehicle in an attempt to again run from the law, authorities in Chester County said. John Lewish Knecht, Jr., was found hiding in a crawl space of a Berks County home, and taken into custody, the Chester County DA's Office said.
