Driver Plunges Car Into River, Tries Swimming Across In Hours-Long North Jersey Standoff A driver being pursued by police drove through a park and ultimately landed in the Hackensack River, where he used a wrench to break out of his own window and stand in the water in an attempt to swim away on Tuesday, April 4, authorities said. Adults Who Look Like Teens Sought As Extras For HBO Series Filming In Hudson Valley If you're still getting carded at the bar, this one may be for you. Adults who could pass as teenagers are being sought to play extras in the HBO series "Pretty Little Liars," filming this spring and summer in the Hudson Valley. Extras will make $187 for an estimated 8 hours of work a day. Filming is in Orange County from April through July in Newburgh, according to the casting call. The award-winning show follows four high school girls whose clique grew apart since the disappearance of their "queen bee."

Roy McGrath Killed During Encounter With FBI: Reports A three-week manhunt for former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan's chief of staff came ended on Monday, April 3 with his shooting death in an encounter with federal agents in Tennessee, his attorney tells various news outlets including CBS and CNN. Roy McGrath had been wanted since March 13 when he failed to show up to trial for federal fraud in Baltimore. Two Children Dead, Mom Jumps From Window In Upper Darby Fire Two children died in an early-morning fire in Upper Darby, various news outlets are confirming. Fire officials at the scene say the 4 a.m. blaze on the 3000 block of Margate Road killed the youngsters and injured their mom — who is believed to have jumped out of a window — along with two firefighters, according to NBC10 and 6abc. Stabbing, Robbery Suspects Captured In String Of Newark Incidents: Police Three robbery suspects, one of whom also stabbed a victim, have been captured in Newark, authorities announced. Two Workers Dead In JFK Construction Accident (Developing) Two workers were killed after becoming trapped under rubble at JFK International Airport on Monday, April 3, authorities tell Daily Voice. Maryland Mom, 41, Killed In Crash A 41-year-old Maryland woman was killed in a weekend Prince George's County crash, authorities said. Michelle Develbis, of White Plains, was heading east on McKendree Road in Brandywine when she lost control of her car and struck a tree around 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, Prince George's County police said.
