Tornados Leave Thousands Of NJ Residents Without Power For Days Thousands of New Jersey residents remained without power on Monday, April 3, more than a day after the tornados that barreled through the region. According to JCP&L, 2,401 Ocean County residents were in the dark as of 10:50 a.m., most of them being in Jackson — where a tornado was confirmed by the National Weather Service. Howell and Sea Girt also saw twisters, although only 137 residents were without power in Howell, according to JCP&L. Restoration times were 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., respectively. Man Dies In Delco Apartment Fire A 54-year-old man died in a Radnor house fire Sunday, April 2, authorities said. A fire broke out at a home on Louella Court where a 54-year-old man was trapped around 1 a.m., the fire department said. Crews arrived to find flames in an apartment on the first floor. The man was removed by firefighters and taken to Bryn Mawr Hospital, where he died. Units remained on scene completing extinguishment and overhaul. Wayne HS Students Killed In Weekend Crash A pair of teens from Wayne were killed in a crash over the weekend. Christian Enrico and Liam Pakonis, both students at Wayne Hills High School, died in an accident on Friday, March 31, according to school and local officials. Crash details were not immediately released. Liam was a member of the Wayne Hills Swim team, and services for Christian had been set as of Sunday, April 2. This is a developing news story. Two Dead, One Hurt In Newark Crash Two people died and one person was hurt in a Newark crash over the weekend. Two vehicles collided on Route 1&9 around 2:40 a.m., near mile marker 49.6, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II said. A passenger in one vehicle died at the scene, and the driver of that vehicle was taken to University Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the second car died at the scene. 3 Dead, 1 Critical In Baltimore Shooting Three people were killed and one critically wounded in a shooting Saturday night, April 1 in Baltimore. Gunfire rang out on the 3200 block of Woodring Avenue around 8:45 p.m., killing 49- and 41-year-old men, police said. A 69-year-old woman was pronounced dead at a local hospital while a 31-year-old woman was critically injured. The shooting began as a dispute between people who knew each other, Baltimore Deputy Police Commissioner Rich Worley said at a press conference near the scene.
