MLB Pitcher From NJ Rick Porcello Announces Retirement New Jersey native and former New York Mets pitcher Rick Porcello will be hanging up his cleats after 15 years in the major leagues. The 33-year-old pitcher who graduated from Seton Hall Preparatory School in West Orange made the announcement on the WFAN's Bradfo Sho podcast. Porcello thanked his fans and listeners for "all the great memories," and mentioned vague personal issues. The pitcher, who last appeared on the mound in 2020, said COVID helped him gain perspective on his life, realizing he wanted to be more present with family. PA Wegmans Driver Dies In Virginia Crash On I-495 A 41-year-old tractor trailer driver from Pennsylvania was killed in a crash on I-495 in Virginia, authorities said. Richard F. Alburger, of Summit Hill, was heading north when he tried to change lanes in a 219 Freightliner apparently for Wegmans, north of Braddock Road around 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30 in Fairfax County, Virginia State Police said. Philadelphia Attempted Murderer Wanted In Area Crime Spree Nabbed: Police A Philadelphia man wanted for attempted murder in Delaware County, an armed robbery and carjacking was in custody as of Tuesday, Dec. 6, authorities said. Zahkee Austin allegedly tried to kill someone in Middletown Township early Monday, Dec. 5, state police previously said. Zahkee AustinPennsylvania State Police Austin was also believed to have been responsible for an armed robbery in West Goshen Township and a carjacking and shooting in Philadelphia on the same morning. Austin was in West Goshen police custody, the department said.

VA Mom Flown To Hospital After Suffering Stroke, Family Finds New Normal Support was surging for a Prince William County family after its matriarch suffered a stroke at just 36 years old. Third Person Dies In Pocono Township Crash A third victim has died in a Pocono Township crash over the weekend, officials said. A 33-year-old Hazleton man operating a Subaru WRX and 28-year-old Brooklyn woman driving a 2018 Nissan Rogue were pronounced dead at the scene the 6:30 p.m. incident at Routes 611 and 715 on Sunday, Dec. 4, township police said. A passenger in the Nissan, Ruthie Gedeon, 26, of Brooklyn, was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital. The cause of death was multiple traumatic injuries, the Lehigh Valley Coroner's Office said. Javier Lozada walked away from his home waring black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, and a black backpack, last Thursday, Dec. 1, police said. Murder: Arrest Made In Camden Man's Stabbing A 35-year-old Camden man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of another 35-year-old man this weekend, authorities said. Duron Williams was found suffering a stab wound on the 200 block of Main Street just before 11 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C.
