Shooter In Murder-Suicide Was Retired Atlantic City Police Officer
The man who shot and killed his ex-girlfriend before killing himself was a retired Atlantic City police officer, authorities confirmed. William Beattie, 47, retired from the police force on Feb. 1, 2010, according to public records. Police were called to Ogden Road in Deptford at 6:50 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28. They found the bodies of the resident, Erin Gatier, 47, and Beattie, of Landisville, inside, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office. Philly Area Man Charged With Trying To Kill Mom On Thanksgiving: Police
A 42-year-old suburban Philadelphia man has been charged with trying to kill his mom on Thanksgiving authorities said. Michael D. Giffing is accused of assaulting his mom, Dorothy Giffing, around 6:10 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24, West Chester police said. Authorities responded to the home on the 300 Block of W. Ashbridge Street on reports of an unconscious person who had fallen, police said. While en route , the call was upgraded to a possible cardiac arrest. NJ Woman Signed Herself Out Of Group Home Months Before She Was Reported Missing: Police
A search has been launched for a 22-year-old Central Jersey woman who has been missing for weeks, maybe months, authorities said. Veronica McLean's friend reported her missing in late October, after not hearing for her for quite some time, South Brunswick police said. Officers determined that McLean had been living in a group home on Broadway Road, but checked herself out on July 2022, they said. A 49-year-old special education teacher from New Jersey has been identified in a fiery crash on the Cross Bronx Expressway early Tuesday, Nov. 29, police said. Shelly Vilsaint's Range Rover collided with a tractor trailer contracted by the U.S. Postal Service in the westbound lanes around 12:35 a.m. near the Major Deegan Expressway, according to police and the New York Post. A Hudson County man who founded a Twitter troll-busting company says the trolls got the best of him. Christopher Bouzy, the CEO of Bot Sentinel, says he was swatted by trolls who called police and reported "yelling, stomping, and screaming" coming from his North Bergen home on Sunday, Nov 27.
