Spirit Airlines Just Got 16 More Runway Slots At Newark Airport
Spirit Airlines is spreading its wings at Newark Airport. The budget airline beat out JetBlue and Alaska Air for 16 highly-coveted runway slots that opened when Southwest discontinued service, according to DOT officials. The additional runways come with a cost: More communication. Colts Neck Football Lineman, Parents Die In Route 9 Crash
Three family members have died as a result of a weekend crash on Route 9, authorities said. Masoud B. Salib, 61, and his wife, Hanaa I. Salib, 52, died on Sunday, July 3, while their son, Mark M. Salib — a former Colts Neck football lineman — died on Tuesday, July 5, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said. The Salibs are survived by another son, Danny. Deadly Jersey City Stabbing May Have Resulted From Love Triangle, Sources Say
A 21-year-old man was killed and a 22-year-old woman hurt by knife-wielding suspect in what sources say may have been a love triangle, sources with direct knowledge of the incident tell Daily Voice requesting anonymity. Jason Khusial was found around 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 5 at 186 McAdoo Ave., and pronounced dead about 15 minutes later, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Details Released In Police Involved Shooting July 4th In Union City
A 58-year-old stabbing suspect was hospitalized after being shot by police responding to the incident in Hudson County July Fourth, police said. Jesus Suazo hurt the victim during an argument before police were flagged down on 23rd Street and Bergenline Avenue in Union City around 7:50 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. An officer fired his service weapon during the encounter, striking Suazo, who was hospitalized and in stable condition as of Wednesday, Suarez said. Baltimore Homes Demolished Due To Massive Sinkhole Leaving 9 Families Homeless
Three homes were demolished in Baltimore Tuesday, July 5 after a storm caused a sinkhole to open Monday evening. Nine families on the 700 block of North Avenue were displaced as the area was deemed unsafe, officials said. Anthony Okozi, 69, of Upper Marlboro, began working for the agency in June 2021, in preparation for retirement early next year, AAA officials said. A 12-year-old boy and an unidentified male drowned in the Virginia Beach waters Fourth of July weekend, Pilot Online reports.
