Obsessed Patient Admits Beating Chiropractor Dead, Assaulting Investigating Detective A 23-year-old Bucks County man admit beating his chiropractor to death and assaulting a detective investigating the case, authorities announced. Joseph O'Boyle, of Bensalem, took a guilty plea in the fatal Nov. 2, 2020 beating of 64-year-old Dr. James Sowa in his Hulmeville Road home office District Attorney Matt Weintraub said. He ultimately entered an open guilty plea to criminal homicide, criminal trespassing, and possession of an instrument of crime before President Judge Wallace H. Scooter Rider Critical In Central Jersey Hit-Run, Jeep Wrangler Sought A Jeep Wrangler was being sought in a hit-and-run crash that left a scooter rider critical early Wednesday, May 25, authorities said. The victim was struck near Victory Bridge on Route 35 north in Sayreville around 5:25 a.m., Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief John Zebrowski said. Siblings Killed In Pottstown Home Explosion Were 'Sweet, Loved Playing Outside' Support is surging for two Pottstown parents whose four children were killed when their home exploded early this week. Details Released In Barnegat HS Bathroom Stabbing A Barnegat High School student was stabbed during a bathroom fight early Friday, May 27, authorities said. The school was put in a shelter in place as officials worked to break up the fight at 7:48 a.m., Barnegat police said. The student treated for non-life threatening injuries and an edged weapon was recovered, authorities said. 60 Displaced By Massive Lanham Fire Nearly 60 people were displaced and three hospitalized in a fire that tore through an apartment complex in Lanham overnight, officials said.
