Dad, Son Among 13 Dead In Violent Philadelphia Memorial Day Weekend: Report The lives of a 37-year-old man and his 9-year-old son were claimed in a shooting Sunday, May 29. Jerry Parks and his son Jamel Parks had just gotten back from a cookout and were sitting in a car on Carver Street near Torresdale Avenue, when they were struck by gunfire around 10:30 p.m., 6abc reports. New Jersey TV Reporter Scott Babashak Who Met Wife Working On Air Dies Suddenly Former TV news reporter Scott Babashak of Trenton died of a heart attack Friday, May 27, reports WFMZ, where he previously worked. He was 54 years old. The Hamilton native graduated from the Steinert High School in 1985, where he was president of his graduating class, his obit says. He went on to graduate from Rider University and subsequently landed a job at NBC in New York City. DC Firefighters Catch Baby Dropped From 2nd Story Window An infant dropped form a second-story window in a fire Sunday, May 29 was caught by Washington DC firefighters. The baby was dropped as flames ravaged a home on the 700 block of Alabama Ave. Two adults and a child were brought safely down a ladder. Seven residents were evaluated by EMS but did not require hospitalization.

Arrest Made In Drive-By Shooting That Killed Baby In Pittsburgh A 26-year-old gunman has been arrested in a drive-by shooting that killed an 18-month-old baby in Pittsburgh Memorial Day Weekend. Londell Falconer struck De’Avry Thomas in a vehicle on the 100 block of Fourth Avenue around 2:45 p.m. Sunday, May 29, police in Pittsburgh said Monday. Falconer apparently shot through the the rear passenger-side window of a gray Jeep, killing the boy. Falconer was charged with Homicide and Criminal Conspiracy, and held in the Allegheny County Jail. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Three Dead In Stafford Crash Three people died in a Stafford County crash on Sunday, May 29, authorities said. The head-on collision occurred at Austin Ridge Drive and Shieds Road in Stafford around 7:40 p.m., the county sheriff's office said. The victims' identities had not been released as of Monday. Both drivers and one passenger died.
