3 Children Among 4 Dead In Philadelphia Fire: 'Devastating Morning' Three children and one adult died in a fire that tore through a row house in Philadelphia overnight, various news reports say. The blaze broke out on the 2300 block of Hartville Street around 2:00 a.m. Sunday, April 24. A 38-year-old woman was reportedly able to escape by jumping out of a window, but was hospitalized with burns, 6abc reports. The Philly Fire Department called it a "devastating morning in Kensington." Fire official were expected to hold a press conference at 12:30 p.m.

Ejected Driver Run Over, Killed By Tractor Trailer On NJ Turnpike: State Police A driver who was ejected in a crash on the NJ Turnpike died after being struck by a tractor trailer early Sunday, April 24, authorities said. A Toyota Corolla traveling north near milepost 105.9 in Newark was struck by a Honda Accord around 4:15 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. The impact caused the Toyota to cross the roadway and strike the right guardrail. As a result of the crash, the driver of the Toyota was ejected. A tractor trailer traveling north struck the driver. Dad Of 3 Dead, Another Hurt In Camden County Shooting A father of three was killed and another injured in a Camden County shooting Friday, April 22, authorities said. Alvin Redd, 25, was found lying in the street on the 400 block of West Park Avenue in Lindenwold around 8:10 p.m. with apparent gunshot wounds, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay said. Maryland Girl, 15, Killed By Tractor Trailer A 15-year-old Maryland girl was struck and killed by a tractor trailer this week, authorities said. Nikole Cynthia Morfessis, 15, of Walkersville, is believed to have walked into the roadway on Route 194 north while the truck was passing around noon on April 22. Nikole was airlifted to Frederick Health Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the tractor trailer remained at the scene. Speeding and impaired driving were not factors in this crash. Route 194 was shut down at the scene following the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
