Unlicensed Driver Surrenders In Crash That Killed Off-Duty Jersey City Police Officer The driver wanted in the crash that killed a beloved Jersey City police officer last summer has surrendered to authorities, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office announced Monday. City resident Rafael Rodriguez-Rivera, 30, was behind the wheel of a 2012 Ford Escape when he struck JCPD Officer Morton Otundo on a Yamaha motorcycle on Communipaw Avenue around 2 a.m. on July 16, 2021, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. $25K Reward Offered In Deadly Prince George's Shooting Authorities in Prince George's County are investigating a shooting that left one person dead on Sunday. The unidentified male was shot on the 15400 block of Empress Way in Bowie around 7:50 p.m., police said in a statement. The victim was found outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The victim's name will be released pending notification of kin. Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and a motive. Former North Jersey BOE Member, Husband, Son Killed In Florida Crash A former trustee of a North Jersey school board, her husband, and one of their sons died in a highway crash in Florida over the weekend, according to district officials and authorities. The victims were identified as former Millburn BOE member Danielle Prieto, 53, her husband Alfred, 57, and their son Antonio. Left to mourn their losses are their two other sons: Millburn HS senior Roberto, and 25-year-old Alec. PA Gunman Who Killed 2 Moms, Boy On New Year's Wanted For Triple Homicide: Police A man accused of killing two moms and a 12-year-old boy on New Year's Eve in Pittsburgh is wanted on homicide charges, authorities announced. Officer-Involved Shooting Reported In Somerset County (Developing) One person was shot in an exchange of gunfire with police Sunday evening in Somerset County, developing reports say. A medevac was initially called to the scene at Amwell Road & CPL Langon Way around 6:45 p.m., initial and unconfirmed reports say. Male Critically Wounded In Central Jersey Morning Shooting One person was left critical following a shooting in Central Jersey Sunday, authorities said. The male was found with a gunshot wound around 10:20 a.m. near Remsen Avenue and Seaman Street in New Brunswick, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he remains in critical condition. Maryland Woman Disappears From C&O Canal Trail The US Park Police are searching for a Maryland woman missing since Thursday. Sibylle Zitko, 54, went missing from the Lock 7 area of the C&O Canal in Cabin John, on Thursday, Jan. 6. Zitko had last been seen in Bethesda around 6 a.m. that day, authorities said.
