Detectives are looking to the public to help identify the two men -- including one who had a backpack on backward -- who robbed a jewelry store at the Westfield Wheaton Mall at gunpoint. Thief Drags Jersey Shore Officer With Car During Struggle: Police
A Jersey Shore police officer was dragged by a catalytic converter thief during a struggle last week, authorities said. The Keyport officer responded to reports of a man trying to steal a catalytic converter off a vehicle near Main Street around 3:25 a.m. on Dec. 31 The man struggled with the officer and was able to get into what is believed to be a light gray or silver, older model, four-door sedan. 25-Year-Old Victim Sexually Assaulted On New Year's In Hoboken: Prosecutor
A 25-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a male inside of a home in Hoboken on New Year's, authorities said. Hoboken University Medical Center notified the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office's Special Victim's Unit of the assault, Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The woman met the male sometime before New Year's Eve, and he sexually assaulted her around 4 a.m. in a house, Suarez said. No arrests have been made at this time. Trenton Man Nabbed In New Year's Eve Murder
A Trenton man was arrested for killing a 35-year-old man on New Year's Eve, authorities announced. Shannon Williams, 35, gunned down Emanuel Ross, 47, on the first block of Beakes Street around 7 p.m. Dec. 31, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said. An Elizabeth man has been charged in a deadly New Year's Eve stabbing, authorities announced.
