Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Brandon Dennis, 29, of Vineland, is wanted on numerous charges including murder, desecration, aggravated assault, terrorist threats and several weapons offenses, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae. Ocean County Man Indicted In Fentanyl-Heroin Overdose Death A 33-year-old man from the Jersey Shore has been indicted for allegedly selling a fatal mix of drugs, authorities said.  Dandre Tubbs, of Manchester, was indicted by a grand jury on a charge of strict liability drug induced death and several drug-related charges, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. NJ Transit ID's Victim Struck, Killed By Train In New Brunswick NJ Transit officials have released the name of the man killed by a train. Authorities have identified the man struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train on Monday as 34-year-old from Middlesex County. Eric Zankel, 34, of Monroe was struck by a Northeast Corridor train at about 6:20 p.m. in New Brunswick station, according to JIm Smith, a NJ Transit spokesman. The train destined for Trenton carried nearly 500 passengers. Train service was temporarily suspended.

4-Alarm Fire Levels South Jersey Auto Warehouse A four-alarm blaze leveled an industrial building in South Jersey, authorities said. The fire broke out about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at U.S. Auto Auction, 6601 S. Crescent Boulevard in Pennsauken, reports said.  There were reports of multiple explosions and flames blasted through the auction building's roof.  A partial collapse onto Route 130 South closed part of the highway as firefighters from multiple departments battled the blaze. The fire raged for more than three hours and required at least 10 engines and six ladder trucks to get it under control, reports said.
