UMass-Dartmouth Freshman Killed While Walking On Campus: Police A 19-year-old UMass-Dartmouth student was killed Thursday, April 6, as he crossed campus, authorities said.  Frank Petillo Jr., a freshman bioengineering student, after paramedics rushed him to an area hospital, the university said.  Campus police were called to Ring Road around 5:30 p.m. to reports that someone had been hit by a car. Officers found Petillo on the road with severe injuries, authorities said. Responders took him to St. Luke's Hospital. Hikers Launch Fundraiser For Westford Native Who Died Climbing NH Mountain Emily Sotelo was determined to climb all of New Hampshire's 48 mountains over 4,000 feet tall before her 20th birthday. The Westford, Massachusetts, native had topped 40 of them and wanted to finish the others while on Thanksgiving break from Vanderbilt University.  Unfortunately, Sotelo disappeared while hiking up Mount Lafayette on Nov. 20, 2022.
