Police K9 Tracks Down Holyoke Assault Suspect After He Strangled Girlfriend: Cops Holyoke police are thanking one of their furry brethren for helping them track down a man with a violent history who allegedly strangled his girlfriend earlier this week before running into the woods, authorities said. The suspect, a 33-year-old man, whose name was not released, reportedly attacked his girlfriend at a home on Kennedy Circle and then ran away. Police chased him into the woods, but whenever they got close, he would see them and continue running, police said. Boston Man With 15-Page Arrest Record Charged With Rape At Hotel: DA A 49-year-old Boston man with a long criminal record now faces violent rape charges stemming from an incident in a hotel earlier this week, authorities said. Herbert Jones faces charges of kidnapping, two counts of aggravated rape, two counts of assault and battery, and threats, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said. 23-Year-Old Ohio Man Killed In Auburn Crash A 23-year-old man from Columbus, Ohio, died Thursday morning, Jan. 19, following a multi-car crash in Auburn, officials said. The Ohio man, whose name was not released, was driving a 2013 Mazda VST east on Route 90 just before 7:30 a.m. when he sideswiped a 60-year-old man's CX5 from Sturbridge, Massachusetts State police said.
