Police Nab Man Accused Of Raping Woman At Boston MBTA Station Authorities arrested a man they say raped a woman at a Boston MBTA station after nearly a month of searching. Steven Wade Coffey was arrested on Monday, Aug. 22, Transit Police tweeted. Authorities released a photo of him earlier this month to ask for the public's help in finding him. UPDATE *** In custody. Trooper Dives To Safety As Fleeing Woman Barrels Through Barricade: Police A Massachusetts State Trooper was nearly run over on Monday, Aug. 22, after a fleeing woman drove through a police barricade on I-93 in Norfolk County, authorities said. The incident began around 4:30 p.m. when troopers received a 911 call about a car driving erratically in the northbound lanes in Milton and hitting other vehicles, State Police said in a Facebook post. Troopers created a barricade ahead in to stop her, but instead of stopping, the woman sped up and drove at a police cruiser, the post continued. Man Tried To Board Plane At Logan Airport Geared For Ancient War: TSA A man tried to board a plane at Logan International Airport earlier this week with more than ten edged weapons in his carry-on luggage, the TSA said. The agency tweeted a photo of the items they found during a search on Sunday, Aug. 21. They included an arrowhead, two daggers, and nine throwing stars. Throwing Stars and Daggers...oh my! 45-Year-Old Dracut Man Busted Selling Fentanyl Out Of His Car: Police A 45-year-old Dracut man was arrested and charged last week with selling fentanyl out of his car at work, authorities said. Kelvin Sanchez Baez faces charges after police said they saw him selling the drug out of a black Honda Civic at 95 Main St. on Tuesday, Aug. 16. Police arrested him two days later, the Tewksbury Police Department said. Sanchez Baez will be arraigned on charges of Distribution of a Class A Drug Friday, Aug. 26, in Lowell District Court, police said.

Authorities ID 28-Year-Old Father Shot, Killed In Boston: Police Boston police recently identified the 28-year-old man who died in a shooting last week in the South End area of the city. Dion Ruiz was found around 10 p.m. on Aug. 13 near 58 West Dedham Street with a gunshot wound, Boston police said. Responders rushed him to the hospital, where he died. Gloucester Fox Tests Positive For Rabies, Pet Owners Urged To Stay Vigilant A fox found in Gloucester tested positive earlier this month for rabies, and state and local officials are asking people to stay vigilant outdoors. The Massachusetts Public Health Department said the fox was found near 86 Concord St. on Aug. 10. Methuen Teen, Beverly Man, 71, Drown In Separate NH Incidents: Reports Two Massachusetts men died within hours of one another in separate drownings in New Hampshire this weekend. Victor Rosado-Rosario, 19, of Methuen, died just after noon on Saturday, Aug. 21, while swimming at Profile Falls in Bristol, according to WCVB. Rosado-Rosario went underwater near the falls and got trapped behind them. His friends and fellow swimmers pulled him out of the water and performed CPR, but they couldn't save his life. Fires Burns More Than 2 Dozen Acres In Marlborough: Firefighters Heavy smoke blanketed a large swath of Marlborough over the weekend as a brush fire burned more than two dozen acres of land. The fire began just before noon on Friday, Aug. 19, about a mile from Concord Road, the Marlborough Fire Department said in a Facebook post.
