Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Northern Westchester Man Dies After Apparent Hiking Accident, Police Say A Northern Westchester man died after an apparent hiking accident upstate, New York State Police said. Troopers in Washington County responded to Shelving Rock Falls in the town of Fort Ann in Washington County, near Lake George at around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20 on a report of a deceased man located at the bottom of a cliff. The victim was identified as 55-year-old Timothy J. Gillen of Peekskill, according to state police. Arrival Of Icy Mix Of Freezing Rain, Sleet, Snow Causes Many School Closures The arrival of a massive winter storm bringing a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain has caused many school closures throughout the region on Friday, Feb. 4. Alert Issued For Missing 15-Year-Old Long Island Girl Police are searching for a missing 15-year-old girl from Long Island. Gabriella Calderon was last season at her residence in Glen Cove on Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 4:30 p.m., Nassau County Police said. She is described as being 5-foot-9, 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Her clothing and possible destination is unknown. Second Suspect Nabbed After Man Found Shot, Killed At Long Island Home On Christmas Day A second suspect has been apprehended following an investigation after a man was found shot dead inside his Long Island home. Southampton Town Police Department officers responded to a Christmas Day call of a burglary in Southampton on Roses Grove Road at approximately 8:45 a.m.Saturday, Dec. 25. Alert Issued For Missing Suffolk County Man Police are asking the public for help locating a missing Long Island man. Peter McGuire, age 29, was last seen leaving his home in Smithtown on foot at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18, Suffolk County Police said in an alert issued on Tuesday, Feb. 1. He was reported missing by a family member on Thursday, Jan. 20. McGuire is 6-foot-2 and 160 pounds. He has multiple tattoos on his neck, arms, side and chest, according to police.
