Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Woman Critically Injured After Being Struck By SUV In Hit-Run Long Island Crash Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash near a Long Island intersection that has left a woman seriously injured. It occurred at approximately 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, Dec.18 in Glen Cove. A dark-colored SUV struck the 40-year-old victim who was crossing southbound on Pearsall Avenue just west of Walnut Road, Nassau County Police said.  The driver of the SUV fled the scene, according to police.  The victim was transported to a local area hospital and is currently listed in critical condition, police said. CT Bank Robbery Suspect Nabbed After Pursuit, Police Say A bank robbery suspect has been apprehended after a pursuit in Connecticut. Around 3:40 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, the Connecticut State Police in New London County Troop E Montville barracks was notified of an alarm at the Jewett City Savings Bank, located at 353 Route 165 in the Town of Preston. Shortly thereafter, dispatchers at the Troop E - Montville barracks received a 9-1-1 call from an employee at the bank, who reported they had been robbed.  The suspect reportedly displayed a note demanding money, but no weapons were displayed., according to state police. …

It happened just before 5:10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17 in North Lindenhurst.
