Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man Found Dead On Long Island Roadway An investigation is underway after a man was found dead on a Long Island roadway. Officers responded to a 911 call for a man lying in the street in Uniondale at Alexander Avenue and Lee Road at around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10. Upon police arrival, the man was pronounced dead by a Nassau County Police Medic. The investigation into this incident continues. Neither the man's age nor identity has been released. Coast-To-Coast System Will Bring Widespread Rain, Possible Storms To Region A rare coast-to-coast storm will end what has been a quiet weather pattern in the region. The time frame for the storm is late Thursday night, Nov. 11 into early Friday afternoon, Nov. 12. Mild temperatures will continue on Wednesday, Nov. 10, which will be a partly cloudy day with a high temperature in the low to mid 60s. Man Dies Of Apparent Carbon Monoxide Poisoning At Long Island Construction Site An investigation is underway after a construction worker died from apparent carbon monoxide poisoning while at a residential job site on Long Island. An employee of Suffolk Excavating was working for approximately 15 minutes to remove silt from the bottom of a drainage pipe approximately 10-feet into the ground in Fort Salonga at 92 Fort Salonga Road when he stopped responding to co-workers at approximately 2:35 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, Suffolk County Police said. ID Released For Man Killed After Being Struck By Jeep Near Long Island Intersection The identity has been released of a man who was struck and killed near a busy Long Island intersection. The crash happened around 6:50 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5 in Shirley. A 70-year-old Shirley man was driving a 2015 Jeep Wrangler southbound on William Floyd Parkway, near the intersection of Roberts Road when the vehicle struck the pedestrian in the roadway, Suffolk County Police said. ID Released For Woman Killed In Crash On Busy Long Island Roadway The identity has been released of a woman who was killed in a crash on a busy Long Island roadway. The woman was driving a 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage southbound on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley near Dawn Drive, when her vehicle left the roadway and struck an unoccupied 2004 Dodge Ram parked on the shoulder at approximately 8:05 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, Suffolk County Police said.
