Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

ID Released For Man Killed In Sunrise Highway Crash The identity has been released of a man killed in a Long Island crash that also result in a woman suffering serious injuries. The man was driving a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis west on Sunrise Highway (Route 27) in Holbrook when he struck a disabled 2000 International Harvester flatbed that was stuck in the right lane between exits 52 and 51, according to Suffolk County Police. Facebook, Instagram Go Down For Users Throughout World This story has been updated. Some of the most used social media sites and apps around the world were down for around six hours. Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger all went down just before noontime Monday, Oct. 4. All four platforms are owned by Facebook and have a combined three billion users. Hiker Says He Spoke To Brian Laundrie On Deserted Road Near Appalachian Trail A Florida engineer hiking the Appalachian Trail says he spoke to a man he says he's certain was the missing boyfriend of 22-year-old Long Island native Gabby Petito, who was found dead just over two weeks ago. NY Man Claims $1 Million Lottery Prize Meet New York's newest million-dollar lottery winner. He's Long Island resident Paul Gargiulo, who has just claimed his $1,000,000 top prize on the New York Lottery’s $1,000,000 Cashword scratch-off ticket. Long Island Woman Rescued By Good Samaritans After Car Crashes Into Tree, Bursts Into Flames A woman who was trapped in her burning car after it crashed into a tree was rescued by good Samaritans on Long Island. Becky Boeckmann, age 35, of Bohemia, was driving a 2009 Pontiac G6 eastbound in Islandia on Express Drive South, near Enter Lane, when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree at approximately 6:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, Suffolk County Police said. Father, Son Killed After Car Crashes Into Retaining Wall In Westchester, Police Say A father and his son died from injuries after an overnight crash in which a car slammed into a retaining wall in Westchester, according to police. Shots Fired Incident Under Investigation In Hudson Valley An investigation is underway after reports of gunshots being fired on a roadway in the area.
