Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

The crash happened around midnight Saturday, Aug. 7 near the area of 1675 Route 6 in the Town of Greenville in Orange County. Man Drowns At Long Island Beach Police are investigating the drowning death of a man that happened at a Long Island beach overnight. Two men who were swimming in the water at Smith Point Beach in Shirley were struck by a large wave just before 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, Suffolk County Police said.  One of the men made it back to the shore and the other was pulled out into the water. Members of the United States Coast Guard and members of the Mastic Beach Fire Department pulled the victim from the water. Suspect Nabbed After Knifepoint Attempted Robbery At Long Island Urgent Care, Police Say A suspect is in custody after a knifepoint attempted robbery at a Long Island Urgent Care facility. Police responded to a call in Great Neck Plaza involving a suspicious person with a weapon on Great Neck Road at around 10:25 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6.  Upon arrival, it was discovered that  Dardu Mihai Vamvu, age 48, of Great Neck, had displayed a knife and did attempt to steal money from two different individuals inside the Urgent Care, Nassau County Police said.  Vamvu fled on foot and was later apprehended by officers, according to police.  There were no injuries reported…
