Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

22-Year-Old Killed After Car Crashes Into Long Island Home An investigation is underway after a 22-year-old man was killed when his car crashed into a house on Long Island. The incident happened around 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3 in Elmont. The man was operating a 2008 Chevrolet southbound on 238th Street in the vicinity of Dutch Broadway and lost control of the vehicle before striking a residence on the roadway, Nassau County Police said. Covid-19: CT Now Strongly Recommending Indoor Mask Wearing In Public Settings As Cases Increase With all but one county in Connecticut now at "substantial" risk for the spread of COVID-19, health officials in the state are now strongly recommending that all those over the age of 2 wear masks in indoor public settings, regardless of vaccination status. Fairfield, Middlesex, Tolland, and Windham became the latest counties in the state with greater than 50 COVID cases per 100,000 residents over seven days. 14-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Long Island Crash An investigation is underway after a teenager was seriously injured in a Long Island crash. It happened Sunday, Aug. 1 at about 1:25 p.m. in North Patchogue. A 50-year-old East Patchogue man was driving a 2015 Nissan eastbound on Barton Avenue when the vehicle collided with Ryan Kropf, age 14, of Patchogue, who was riding a bicycle northbound at the intersection of Washington Avenue, Suffolk County Police said. Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash On Busy Long Island Roadway A Long Island man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on a busy area roadway. It happened just after 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 31, in Miller Place. Raoul Rasch, age 79, of Rocky Point, was driving a 1934 Ford vintage model eastbound on Route 25A, near Panther Path, when the vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and struck a westbound 2004 Ford pickup, Suffolk County Police said.
