Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Suspect Nabbed After Teen Found Dead In Park On Long Island A suspect has been apprehended in the homicide of a Long Island teenager. The victim was found dead in Cow Meadow Park in Freeport on Thursday, March 4 at 5:30 p.m. with an apparent gunshot wound.  The victim was identified as Daniel Garcia-Carbajal, age 19, of Freeport. On Tuesday, April 13, Nassau County Police announced that 42-year-old Tulio O. Ayala, 42, of Central Islip, was arrested in connection with the incident. ID Released For Man Struck, Killed Along With Dog After Being Hit By Jeep On Long Island The identity has been released of a man killed, along with his dog, after both were hit by a Jeep on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened around 7:50 p.m. on Thursday, April 8 in Massapequa. While attempting to cross Merrick Road southbound, the 30-year-old man, now identified as Matthew Elder, of Massapequa, and the dog were struck by a 2003 Jeep that was traveling westbound on Merrick Road, Nassau County Police said. Two Hospitalized, One With Serious Injuries, After Crash At Long Island Inersection A man was seriously injured in an overnight crash at an intersection on Long Island. It happened around 9:40 p.m. Monday, April 12 in Saint James. Timothy Hearney, age 52, of Saint James, was driving a 2021 Nissan Acura eastbound on Woodlawn Avenue, when his vehicle was struck at the intersection of Lake Avenue by a northbound 2016 Ford pickup truck, driven by Steven Schwamb, age 31, of Centereach, Suffolk County Police said.
