Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Suspect In Westchester Shooting Nabbed After Manhunt Involving Multiple Agencies A suspect in a shooting in Westchester County was apprehended after a manhunt involving police agencies from New York and Connecticut. Around 11 p.m. Thursday, April 8, the Port Chester Police Department said it received 911 calls of shots fired in the area of Fox Island Road. Suspect At Large After Fatal Shooting At Long Island Convenience Store A suspect is at large after a fatal shooting at a Long Island convenience store overnight. It happened around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, April 10, in Wyandanch. Darnell Snell, age 38, of Brentwood, was inside Wyandanch Convenience Store, located at 315 Merritt Ave. when he was shot by another man inside the store, Suffolk County Police said. The suspect fled on foot. Snell was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead. Police have not released a description of the suspect. Armed Man Attempted To Barricade Himself In Long Island Home With Woman, Children, Police Say A man was apprehended after authorities say he attempted to barricade himself in a Long Island home with a woman and two children. Around noontime Friday, April 9, Nassau County Police officers responded to a residence on Pennywood Avenue in Roosevelt after a report of a dispute between two men, one with a gun. Jeziah Adorno ran away from her home in Chicopee and was last seen in the area of Pearl Street in Springfield, Chicopee Police said. One Killed After Speeding Vehicle Crashes Into Welcome To Jones Beach Monument, Police Say One person was killed after a vehicle crashed into the Welcome to Jones Beach monument, according to state police. The crash happened around 8:05 a.m. Tuesday, April 6. The vehicle was traveling southbound on the Meadowbrook State Parkway, at a high rate of speed, witnesses reported to police.
