Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man Critically Injured In Single-Car Long Island Crash A Long Island man suffered critical injuries in a single-car crash. The man, Michael Degore, age 27, was driving a 2016 Chrysler 300 southbound in Lindenhurst on South Strong Avenue when he veered off the road, struck a telephone pole, and then hit a parked vehicle at approximately 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, Suffolk County Police said. Degore, of Lindenhurst, was ejected from the Chrysler, which then became fully engulfed. The Copiague Fire Department extinguished the fire. Alert Issued For Missing Long Island 12-Year-Old A Long Island girl has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating her. Marcayla Gardner, age 12, was last seen at the Syosset LIRR station boarding a westbound train just before 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, Nassau County Police said. She is described as being 5-foot-2, 132 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, tan jacket, and gray boots and may be in New York City, said police. Covid-19: Outbreak Linked To Off-Campus Events Causes Closure Of Long Island High School An outbreak of COVID-19 cases linked to off-campus events has caused the closure of a high school on Long Island. Stabbing Victim Dies After Large Fight Breaks Out At Area Restaurant One of two victims stabbed after a large fight broke out at an area restaurant has died from injuries suffered in the incident. Covid-19: NY Restaurants Outside NYC Can Soon Increase Indoor Capacity Restaurants outside of New York City will soon be able to increase their indoor capacity amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
