Malala Fund, UN Trip Round Out Main Street Kids
IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Fourth- and fifth-graders at Main Street School have a rounded education to draw from as they look ahead to middle school.The students officially "moved up" in a special ceremony June 22.
Their principal Joyce Chapnick recounted a trip to the United Nations, a fundraiser for the Malala Fund, and Hike for Humanity among worldly pursuits, while a school barbecue and building a garden helped shape them into becoming "successful members of the school community," she said.
