Lake Mohegan Fire, Yorktown Police Win Fitness Contest
YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The Lake Mohegan Fire Department and Yorktown Police Department are the winners in the 2015 Chief's Challenge for Fitness Jefferson Valley contest.Each of the departments were awarded a $1,000 check. The Challenge was designed by cardiologists at Phelps Hospital to improve the health and fitness of police and fire personnel by encouraging them to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle, said the announcement. Trumbull Target Employee Charged With Stealing Thousands
TRUMBULL, Conn. - A woman has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from the Target store in Trumbull, according to Connecticut Post. The employee, Crystal Vallecillo, 25, a Bridgeport resident, is accused of stuffing cash from the Target up her shirt sleeves, said the Connecticut Post. BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Drivers in Bridgeport and New Haven landed near the bottom of a list, 185 and 190 respectively, among America's 200 largest cities where drivers are likely to have accidents, according to Allstate.The data is based on 38,000 roadway deaths last year, the most since 2008, said Allstate’s 12th annual America’s Best Drivers Report.
