Monroe Firefighter Killed In Motorcycle Crash
MONROE, Conn. -- A man was killed when his motorcycle crashed on Main Street Monday evening, according to Fox 61 News.Police responded shortly past 7 p.m. to the scene of a crash between a 2006 Harley Davidson and a 2013 Land Rover, Fox 61 News reported.
Forrest Ryan, 24, of Monroe, was the driver of the motorcycle, said Fox 61 News. He was driving it northbound on Main Street then crossed over to the side heading south, striking the Land Rover, said Fox 61 News.
Ryan was pronounced dead at the crash site, while two Land Rover occupants were brought to the hospital, Fox 61 News said.

SUFFERN, N.Y. -- The Suffern Chamber of Commerce President Aury Licata will present a "No-Cook Cooking" demonstration Friday, June 17 at Garden of Hope, Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, N.Y.Licata will give her presentation, "Basil: A to Z," along with Garden of Hope Director, Anne Meore.
The event will be an opportunity to see how staff and patients at the center benefit from the therapeutic activities in the Garden of Hope.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Ninety-seven-year-old Tao Porchon-Lynch, of White Plains, the world's oldest yogi, is featured in The New York Times teaching her regular Wednesday class at the JCC of Mid Westchester in Scarsdale.

NORWALK, Conn. -- Drugs may have played a role in the 1987 cold case homicide the Norwalk Police Department is asking the public's help in solving.The murder of Willie "PC" "Popcorn" Hernandez, 21, occurred around 4:20 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 1987, at 140 Water St., inside a Volvo sedan, according to police.
The Norwalk Police received a report of shots fired in the vicinity of 140 Water St. and Washington Village, said police.
