Students On New City Elementary School Bus Earn Recognition
NEW CITY, N.Y. -- Students who ride to and from New City Elementary School every day on "Black Bus" received the Bus of the Month Award in April, according to a school announcement. The awards are given to the deserving students based on end-of-month the bus drivers complete based on their performance. The winning students were characterized as a group that understands the need for students to act as a team to make sure the rides to and from school are safe. POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The "Greater Walkway Experience" aerial tour, a video, and campaign kick-off will begin Friday, May 6 at the Bardavon 1869 Opera House in Poughkeepsie. Man, 32, Wanted In Rockland On Family Court Warrant
NEW CITY, N.Y. -- The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted on a Family Court warrant.James Smith, 32, is known to frequent the Sloatsburg, Suffern and Stony Point areas, police said. VALHALLA, N.Y. -- A recent "fundraising" volleyball tournament was held at Valhalla Middle School to support Valhalla alum Adriana Babak, who is riding across the country to raise money for the Ulman Cancer Fund.Every year for the past 10, Valhalla Middle School has dedicated one afternoon a year to raise money for a special cause.
