Briarcliff Students Start Club To Raise Funds For Children Who Are Deaf BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- When Briarcliff High School students, Liza Pacchiana and Anjli Patel discovered that many families with children who are deaf live at or below the poverty level, they decided to help. Inspired to make a difference for these children, they founded a new school club, Listening Without Sound. The club has 10 members and two volunteer advisors, and has raised $700 so far through two bake sales.  Club proceeds were used to buy 14 $50 gift cards for the students at the New York School for the Deaf in time for the holidays.
