Clarkstown Link Students Celebrate Authors CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- A month-long program focuses on authors at Link Elementary School in Clarkstown where students in all grades have been sculpting stories and personal narrative essays. This week, these young authors are being celebrated and being given the opportunity to share their unique work with an authentic audience of their peers and members of the community. At a presentation Monday one thought-provoking student asked another, the one presenting, "If you could add another page, what would it say?” who replied, "Can it be anywhere?"

Fairview To Break Ground On $9M Municipal Complex FAIRVIEW, N.J. -- A $9 million project to replace the municipal complex will begin this spring when construction on a new police headquarters, municipal court and administrative building will begin, reported The Record.The 17,000-square-foot complex will be next to Borough Hall and will take 18 months to finish, according to The Record. Staff will remain working in Borough Hall until the new complex is finished, reported The Record. Yonkers Rotary Sends School Bus For Liberian Children YONKERS, N.Y. --The children of the African Dream Academy in Monrovia, Liberia West Africa, has a 62-seat school bus shipped there in time for the New Year's holiday by the Rotary Club of Yonkers-East.The bus arrived at the Port of Monrovia in early December where after clearance and inspection, the Academy's founder a Rotarian Sam Enders brought it to the school. The bus is 36-feet long and weighs 18,000 pounds. Built in 2001, it has about 110,000 miles.
