Bronxville Program Offers Teen Girls ACL Injury Risk Screenings BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- An injury prevention talk and free ACL injury risk screenings are being offered Saturday, Feb. 27, at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital, BronxvilleThe program for girls 12-18 years old will be presented by the hospital’s physical therapy department and Dr. Charles Popkin, a sports medicine specialist.  Popkin’s talk will be followed by the free screenings to help determine who may be at risk for developing an ACL injury. National Park Service To Renovate Roosevelt's Hyde Park Home Garden HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Plans to restore the garden and rehabilitate the pool at the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site are among 69 projects in 63 parks slated for a National Park Service $15 million expenditure, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. The FDR site pool is where British Prime Minister Winston Churchill swam while visiting and where President Franklin D. Next Year's Westport Budget Increases Spending Under 1.5 Percent WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport's proposed municipal budget under review by the Board of Finance for the coming fiscal year increases spending by 1.49 percent and totals $205.6 million, reported the Westport News.The town's portion that First Selectman Jim Marpe proposed totals $91.6 million, which is above present spending by 0.8 percent, and the proposed expenditures from the Board of Education total $113.9 million, a 2.04 percent increase over the current budget plan, said the Westport News.
