SUV Stolen From Stamford Driveway While Warming Up STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford police are investigating a car theft Sunday night on Adams Avenue, during which the alleged thief took an SUV its owner left running in a driveway due to 10-degree temperatures, according to the Stamford Advocate.The owner had started the vehicle minutes before it was taken, said the Stamford Advocate. Chappaqua Board Of Education Approves School Calendar CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- The Chappaqua Board of Education voted to approve the the 2016-2017 School Calendar at its special meeting Feb. 11. This year, New York State selected Friday, June 23 instead of Thursday, June 22 as Regents Rating Day. This decision allowed the District to develop a calendar that brings students back after Labor Day, builds in five snow days, and still have 185 school days (181 student days, plus four Superintendent Conference Days). Updated: Nyack Brinks Robbery Leader Could Be Let Out Early From Prison NYACK, N.Y. -- The leader of the Brinks robbery in 1981 that killed two Nyack police officers and a Brinks guard could be let out of prison after serving just half his 60-year prison term, according to lohud.com, which had earlier reported that Mutulu Shakur had been released from jail, before amending its report.
