Police Rescue Two Kayakers Off Coast Of Westport WESTPORT, Conn. — Wesport police rescued two kayakers Monday who had been stranded off the coast of Compo Beach, according to police. At about 1 p.m. police received a report of an unoccupied kayak floating one-third of a mile off the Soundview Drive and Hillspoint Road section of Compo Beach. Upon arriving, an officer learned that one person was stranded on the rock island and a second person had kayaked out to reclaim the unoccupied kayak, police said. Teens Arrested After Underage Drinking Party In New Canaan NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Police in New Canaan charged two teens Friday, Jan. 29, stemming from complaints about an underage drinking party on Indian Rock Road, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
