Monroe Police Charge Newtown Driver With DUI MONROE, Conn. -- Police charged a man from Newtown with driving under the influence of alcohol after seeing him allegedly drive erratically on Route 25 in Monroe on Jan. 21, according to the Monroe Courier. The vehicle allegedly was observed "swerving between the double yellow line and the fog line" before an officer stopped it, said the Monroe Courier.
