Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Fortunately, all the hotel's guests and staff escaped without injury, police in Gloucester Township said.  The blaze broke out about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Howard Johnson Inn at 832 North Black Horse Pike, initial reports said. A. James Rambo died on Friday at the age of 76. "Jimmy was a friend, mentor, and brother to us all. Serious Multiple Injury Crash, Entrapment In South Jersey Firefighters, police and EMS crews were called to a multiple injury crash late Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.  The crash occurred before 5 p.m. at Jacobstown New Egypt Road and Meany Road in North Hanover, according to initial reports. Ocean County Trio Charged In Cocaine Bust, Tampering With Evidence Brick Township police arrested three people during a warranted search. A police department spokesman said the suspects were "found  destroying evidence at the time officers entered the residence." Arrested on Friday for possession of cocaine charges and for tampering with evidence were:  Shamaar Strand, 37, from Brick; Katherine Reyes, 30, from Brick; and Isaiah Cruz, 24, from Rockaway, Queens.  All three were released on summonses, according to Sgt.
