Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Police ID Driver, 28, Killed In Head-On Gloucester County Crash With Tractor-Trailer Authorities have identified the driver of an SUV killed in a head-on crash with a tractor trailer late Wednesday in Gloucester County. Carl E. Cheeseman Jr., 30, of Vineland, was driving westbound on Route 40 near Rosemont Avenue and Harding Avenue in Newfield about 11 p.m. when police think he swerved to avoid a deer.
