Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

NYC Victim ID'd In Fatal Atlantic City Shooting UPDATED: Authorities have released the name of a 25-year-old New York City man who was shot and killed in Atlantic City. Dameer Smith was shot once at 9:27 p.m. on the 1300 block of Pacific Avenue, the Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said on Monday. Central Police ID Pickup Truck Driver Killed After Slamming Snowbank, Tree Off Route 1 Authorities have identified the driver of a pickup truck who was killed Thursday after slamming into a snowbank and tree in South Brunswick. Andrew Malouf, 73, of the Kendall Park section of town, is believed to have suffered a medical problem causing him to veer off Henderson Road, police said.
