Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Police responded to a report of a shooting about 10:55 a.m. on the 100 block of Oakland Avenue, authorities said. 100 Central Jersey Firefighters Braved Blaze During Blizzard, 3 Hurt More than 100 firefighters battled a major house fire as this week's blizzard ramped up in Central Jersey, authorities said. The fire started in a wood-framed, mixed-use building on Broad Street in Manasquan shortly before 4 p.m. on Monday.  The building’s owner told News 12 that three people lived on the upper floors of the building and that they were able to escape. Two residents and a local firefighter were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, fire officials said. A malfunctioning ventilator fan was suspected to be the origin of the fire, according to initial reports.
