Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Man Shot In South Jersey Home Invasion Robbery A homeowner was shot during a robbery in Atlantic County, authorities said. The home invasion break-in was about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday  in Buena Borough, according to Franklin Township police.  The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said, when he was shot at his home on Summer Avenue. Police ID Motorcyclist, 25, Killed In Old Bridge Crash A 25-year-old man from Matawan was killed in a collision with a minivan in Old Bridge, authorities said. Daniel S. Behr died in Monday's fatal crash on Route 516, Old Bridge police said, as the van pulled out of Matawan Animal Hospital. Pedestrian Struck, Seriously Hurt At Garden State Parkway Gas Station A pedestrian remains in serious condition after being struck by a car at a service station in Lacey Township, authorities said. South Jersey Man Gets 8 Years In State Prison For Dumping Overdose Victim's Body A 55-year-old man from Camden County has been sentenced to eight years in state prison for dumping a fatal overdose victim's body on a Burlington County roadside, authorities said. Daniel Waterfield  of Lawnside was found guilty of desecrating human remains,  during a March jury trial. He was sentenced on Monday.
