Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Firefighters Douse 10th-Floor Blaze At Trenton Apartment Building Trenton firefighters reportedly knocked down a fire on the 10th floor of Bellevue Plaza Apartments Wednesday morning, authorities said.  City firefighters were called about 11:30 a.m. to 447 Bellevue Ave., according to initial reports.  Flames were reportedly shooting out from the windows of the apartment building's 10th floor as firefighters arrived, according to an unconfirmed report.  Additional help was requested by fire responders at the scene. Atlantic City Man Pleads Guilty To Weapons Charge In Connection With Football Game Shooting A 28 year-old man from Atlantic City man has pleaded guilty to weapons charges in connection with the fatal shooting of a 10-year-old boy in Pleasantville, authorities said.  Tyrell Dorn entered his plea on Monday, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said in a statement. Prosecutors recommend that Dorn receive a seven-year state prison term when he’s sentenced next month.
