Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Person Injures Head In Fall In Lacey Township Emergency crews were called to Lacey Township on a report of a fall.  A call came into police about 4:30 p.m. Police were told someone had severely injured their head in a fall. Additional details were not immediately available. EMS requested a medevac unit to fly to the scene and transport the patient. But all medevacs contacted declined due to the bad weather and poor flying conditions, according to unconfirmed reports.

New Grocery Stores Coming To NJ German discount grocer Lidl plans to open its seventh and eighth stores in New Jersey later this month. A store in Howell will be located at 4250 Route 9. The other new store will be on Route 38 in Cherry Hill (Camden County). Both stores will open at 8 a.m. on Feb. 26. Pedestrian Hit By 2 Cars Dies On Monmouth County Highway A 38-year-old man was killed after being hit by two vehicles on Route 33 in Manalapan, authorities said The man, a Manalapan resident, was not in a crosswalk when he was hit around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday by eastbound vehicles. They had a green light near the intersection with Woodward Road when the accident occurred, Manalapan police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene following life-saving efforts by emergency responders. Both drivers stopped and cooperated with police, who continue to investigate. Police had not released an ID pending notification of family.

Michael Canto pled guilty on Monday, and faces up to five years in state prison when he is sentenced on April 3, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said. Jacob Moskowitz claims that Rutgers' chemistry department hired him as a scientific glassblower with no experience in that job.
