Four Firefighters Injured In Four-Alarm Jersey City Fire (Update) Four firefighters were injured after a four-alarm blaze broke out in a vacant building in Jersey City on Tuesday, May 30, authorities said. The fire began at 234 Montgomery St. before spreading to 236 Montgomery St., Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said. The firefighters suffered non-life threatening injuries when stairs collapsed and were all taken to a local hospital, Scalcione said. One Killed In Newark Double Shooting: Prosecutors A 44-year-old Newark man was killed and another man was injured after being shot on the evening of Sunday. May 28, authorities said. Some Of Essex County's Most Dangerous Fugitives Nabbed Warrant Sweep Some of the most dangerous criminals in Essex County were arrested in April as part of a multiagency warrant sweep, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N.
