Armed Bayonne Carjacker Nabbed 14 Months Later: Hoboken PD A 20-year-old Bayonne man was arrested and charged with a carjacking and shooting that occurred nearly 14 months ago in Hoboken, authorities said. On March 28, 2022, Jaliyl Johnson approached a car in a parking lot on Marshall Drive, pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim's head, police said. The victim ran from the car and Johnson fired a shot at him, but missed, police said. Johnson and a juvenile fled the scene in the victim's stolen vehicle, police said. Body Found On 440 ID'd As Missing Woman The body found on Route 440 on the Jersey City-Bayonne border on Wednesday, May 17, has been identified as Norelis Mendoza, who has been missing last week, authorities announced. Mendoza, a 32-year-old Lindenwold mom, had been last seen in Jersey City on Saturday, May 13,Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
