Alert Issued For Jersey City Woman Missing For Days UPDATE: Norelis Mendoza was found dead along Route 440 in Jersey City Wednesday, May 17, authorities said. ORIGINAL: Jersey City police are attempting to locate a missing 32-year-old woman. Norelis Mendoza was last seen at her mother's residence at Montgomery St and Monmouth Street on Saturday, May 13 at 10 p.m., police said. Police describe her as 5'7", 120 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo that says "Marta" on her back. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 201-547-5460.

Noriega Nominated For NJ Supreme Court Michael Noriega, a Union County resident, has been nominated to be the newest justice on the New Jersey Supreme Court. Gov. Phil Murphy formally announced Noriega's nomination on Monday, May 15. Noriega, who was born in Weehawken, will be replacing Justice Barry Albin, who reached the mandatory retirement age. Noriega, who was raised in Union City and lives in Fanwood, is Murphy's fourth appointment to the bench. Man Found Fatally Shot In Newark: Prosecutors A 33-year-old Newark man was found fatally shot on the morning of Monday, May 15, according to authorities.
