Before settling into the Hudson Valley, Zak! previously spent time in the New York Daily News newsroom and worked for hyperlocal digital news outlets on Long Island. He wrote sports for The Ithacan and The Ithaca Journal before taking his talents to the Pacific Northwest, where he served as the sports editor at the Shoshone News-Press until heading back east to work with Daily Voice.

Officers from the Prince George's County Police Department were called at shortly after 1:30 a.m. to the 3700 block of Donnell Drive to investigate a reported shooting on Sunday, Aug. 13. According to authorities, upon arrival, officers found three men suffering with gunshot wounds who were all taken to area hospitals. Toyota Recalls 168K Trucks Because Of Possible Fire Risk Toyota is conducting a large safety recall involving some late-model pickup trucks. The auto giant announced that approximately 168,000 of its 2022 and 2023 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles are subject to the recall due to a possible fire hazard. According to the company, the vehicles included in the recall have a plastic fuel tube that can move and rub against a brake line, causing a fuel leak, which could lead to fires.  To remedy the issue, Toyota dealers will replace the plastic fuel tube with an improved part and additional clamp, officials said.
