Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

21-Year-Old Long Island Man Killed After Crash Crashes Into Tree An investigation is underway after a man was killed in a single-vehicle overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 in Copiague. Reny Cruz-Puente, age 21, of Copiague, was driving a 2004 Honda Acura TSX southbound on Deauville Boulevard, north of Kenmore Road, when the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree, ejecting the driver from the vehicle, Suffolk County Police said. Woman Killed In Rollover I-90 Crash A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on I-90 in Massachusetts. Troopers in Worcester County from the State Police-Charlton arracks responded to the crash eastbound in Charlton around 4:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8. Woman Shot In Broad Daylight At Busy Long Island Intersection Police detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred in broad daylight at a busy Long Island intersection. A woman, who was a passenger in a vehicle, was shot once in Farmingville at the intersection of Granny Road and Horseblock Road at approximately 2:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, Suffolk County Police said. Woman Sexually Abused While Jogging On Long Island Roadway, Police Say An investigation is underway after police say a woman was sexually abused while jogging on a Long Island roadway. The woman was jogging in Smithtown at the intersection of Route 111 and Estate Road at approximately 6:40 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, when she was grabbed and sexually abused by a man, Suffolk County Police said. Area 21-Year-Old Accused Of Raping Minor 'On Multiple Occasions,' State Police Say A tip led to the arrest of a 21-year-old man who is accused of raping a minor in the area. New York State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks said troopers arrested Dutchess County resident Zachuriah McBride, age 21, of Red Hook, after receiving the law enforcement tip of possible sexual assault. Officer Found Guilty In Bludgeoning Death Of Girlfriend In Hudson Valley An officer in New York City who lives in the Hudson Valley was found guilty of the violent death of his girlfriend following a jury trial. Luis Rondon, age 50, of New Windsor, was convicted in Orange County Court of second-degree murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon on Thursday, Oct. 7.
