Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Woman Killed After Compact SUV Crashes Into Utility Pole On Long Island A woman was killed after a compact SUV crashed off a Long Island roadway and into a utility pole overnight. It happened around 3:20 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 19 in Bay Shore. The 29-year-old woman was driving a 2016 Honda HRV southbound on Fifth Avenue, just south of Brook Avenue, when the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into the pole, Suffolk County Police said. Multi-Vehicle I-95 Crash Snarls Traffic Traffic on a stretch of I-95 is at a standstill after a serious multi-vehicle crash near the border of Westchester and Fairfield counties. The crash, involving at least four vehicles, happened late Saturday afternoon, Sept. 18 on the southbound side in Greenwich. There is stopped traffic at the scene and delays stretching back for several miles at 5:30 p.m.

21-Year-Old Accused Of Stealing Checks From Mailboxes, Vehicles In Northern Westchester A 21-year-old has been accused of stealing checks from mailboxes and unattended vehicles in the area. On Friday, Sept. 16, New York State Police, in conjunction with the United States Postal Inspection Service, arrested Robert Curry Jr., age 21, of Peekskill, after an investigation into larcenies in Northern Westchester County and western Putnam County. Suspect On Run After Attempted Robbery At Long Island Bank A suspect is at large after an attempted robbery at a Long Island bank. It happened around 1:25 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17 in Shirley. A man entered Chase Bank, located at 645 William Floyd Parkway, and passed a note to the teller demanding cash, Suffolk County Police said. The man is described as being white, in his mid 20s to early 30s, approximately 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 with a thin to medium build, according to police, who noted he was wearing a bright yellow sweatshirt. Suspect Nabbed After 16-Year-Old Is Fatally Stabbed At HS Football Game In Hudson Valley A suspect is in custody after a fatal stabbing following a high school football game in the Hudson Valley overnight. It happened around 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17 immediately after the game in Dutchess County between Scarsdale High School and host Arlington High School in LaGrange. One Killed In Crash Involving Sheriff's Office Cruiser In Hudson Valley An investigation is underway after a person was killed in a crash involving a marked Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle.
