Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man Apprehended After Waving Pipe With Knife At Long Island Fair, Police Say A man has been apprehended after police say he waved a plastic pipe with a knife attached to it at a Long Island fair. The incident happened on Friday, Sept. 10 at about 8:30 p.m. in Hicksville. Worker Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle At Long Island Business An investigation is underway after a worker was killed after being struck by a vehicle at a Long Island business. The incident happened just before 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 in Island Park on the lot of 3896 Long Beach Road, Nassau County Police said. The 59-year-old male employee of Nicolia Ready Mix was transported by a Nassau County Police Department Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.  He was pronounced dead at 7:36 am by a hospital physician.  The investigation is ongoing. Chase Tarjick has been reported missing in Western Massachusetts, the Pittsfield Police Department said in an alert issued late Friday afternoon, Sept. 10.
